Retail Manager

Sentry Bank is looking to hire a Retail (Branch) Manager to work at our St. Cloud Downtown Branch.

Hours will be primarily Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, but will need to work the opening (7:30am) and closing (5:30pm) shifts when needed. Also, might work a Saturday morning on occasion.

Summary

The Retail Manager directs the overall activities of the branch to serve the customers within the company’s target market in an extraordinary manner so that the company’s brand name and reputation continue to grow. The retail manager also supervises the employees and works to teach and develop their knowledge and skills. Supports and promotes the consistency of processes and procedures across the branches through communication and training.

Essential Functions

• Manage the daily operations of the branch
• Manage Tellers and Customer Service Representatives for the branch
• Communicate with customers – helping resolve higher level transactions and customer complaints promptly and efficiently
• Assist in hiring and maintaining staffing levels at the branch
• Coach, lead, and motivate branch employees through consistent feedback and evaluations
• Provide back up to the branch (CSR, Tellers) when needed
• Assist with training new and existing employees
• Provide staff overrides and approvals
• Meet with staff regarding branch security and safety issues
• Help ensure the branch is kept clean, safe, and orderly
• Be an Admin for various systems – Digital Banking, Billpay, ELearning, Visa Gift Cards, etc.
• Attend networking events to promote the bank’s brand and products
• Maintain involvement in a variety of local organizations and business groups
• Promote and open new deposit accounts when necessary
• Potential duties could include helping with Bank marketing, social media, sponsorships, and planning of special events
• Maintain a working knowledge of bank regulations and all products offered by Sentry Bank
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or business management; or equivalent experience is required
• Banking experience required
• Experience in management, compliance, or customer service preferred
• High problem solving ability
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to plan, direct, and review the work of others
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with difficult customers
• Ability to take initiative and make independent judgements and decisions
• Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency

Pay: $50,000-$70,000/year

Full-Time Teller

Sentry Bank is looking to hire a full-time teller at our St. Stephen Branch.

Hours in St. Stephen will be between Monday-Friday, 8:15am-4:15pm. The other branch you may to have to work at on occasion would be our St. Joseph Branch. The hours in St. Joseph could be between 7:30am-5:30pm. Could include a Saturday morning as needed at our St. Joseph Branch. *Saturdays are 1.5x pay!

Summary

Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing.

Essential Functions

• Receive checking and saving deposits and withdrawals, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts
• Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices
• Answer basic customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies
• Issue personal cashier’s checks
• Balance drawer daily and meet teller-balancing standards, including periodic batching of cashed checks
• Accept loan payments, verify payment amount and issue receipts
• Follow all bank policies and procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous banking experience a plus!
• Customer service & cash handling experience
• Reliable and punctual
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
• Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency

Pay: Starting at $19/hr
