Full-Time or Part-Time Teller
Sentry Bank is looking to hire Full-Time or Part-Time Tellers.
Hours for Full-Time Tellers will be Monday-Friday, start time is flexible, but will likely work until 5:30pm most days. Will include 1-2 Saturday mornings a month. This position will be around 35 hours/week.
Summary:
Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing.
Essential Functions:
- Receive checking and saving deposits and withdrawals, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies
- Issue personal money orders and cashier’s checks
- Accept loan payments, verify payment amount and issue receipts
- Follow all bank policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous banking experience a plus!
- Customer service & cash handling experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
- Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Customer Service Representative
Sentry Bank is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service Representative to work at our St. Joseph location.
Hours will be Monday-Friday, primarily 8:15am-4:30pm, but every 3rd Friday until 5:30pm. Will include 1-2 Saturday mornings a month. *Saturday shifts are paid at 1.5x pay!
Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, opening and closing accounts, understand and sell products and services, and learn a variety of different duties.
Essential Functions:
- Open, service, and revise new and existing deposit accounts, HSA, IRA, and CDs.
- Maintaining customer accounts and files
- Answer customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Process wire transfers
- Order, activate, and cancel debit cards
- Balance the vault and coin machine daily
- Assist on the teller line
- Provide excellent service by building relationships with every customer
- Inform customers of Bank products and services to meet their needs
- Perform opening/closing duties occasionally
- Follow all bank policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of banking experience required
- Effective communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
- Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
